State House
 From the Grand Staircase in the State House, Cele begins the holiday season admiring the poinsettias set out for 2001. Holiday events in the State Capitol included the annual Christmas Tree Lighting on the front lawn and the arrival of Santa Claus. (12/01)

 Ken Howard, President of Columbia Manufacturing in Westfield, shows Cele the assembly line used for commemorative Columbia Bicycles. Columbia, the second biggest manufacturer of school furniture in the country, recently was honored for its new environmentally-friendly manufacturing processes. (11/01)
Puerto Rico Day at Westfield City Hall
 Puerto Rican Heritage Day is celebrated at Westfield's City Hall in November. Cele, second from the left at far rear next to Westfield Mayor Richard Sullivan, joined in the flag raising ceremonies prior to the celebration at the Westfield YMCA. (11/01)

 Cele chats with eager eaters at the Annual Chamber of Commerce-Sparkplugs Pancake Breakfast on July 12th. This is the third year that Cele has sponsored the event on the Green in Westfield. Thousands came to enjoy the pancakes, sausage, and banjo music provided again by Westfield empressario Don Blair (lower photo, far right).  The Very Reverend Jim Munroe, Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in Springfield, and members of his parish staff join Cele for a tour of the State House on Beacon Hill in Boston. (6/01)

 Members of the 104th Air National Guard at Barnes Airport welcome Cele. Greetings are also extended on the newly constructed electronic billboard erected at the facility. (7/01)

 Cele joins dignataries on the reviewing stand across from Parker Park in Westfield for the Annual Memorial Day Parade. (6/01)
Cele meets with Denise Sitler, UMass student
 Cele welcomes Denise Sitler of Westfield to the State House in Boston. Ms. Sitler was honored at a ceremony for those chosen as University Scholars this past spring. University Scholars at UMass campuses receive scholarships contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 grade point average. (6/01)
